In appropriate timing with this year’s Oscars, Netflix is releasing a behind-the-scenes look at its film that shined at last year’s awards, Roma, the Spanish language drama which won Oscars for Best Director and Best Foreign Film.
‘Road to Roma‘ is a 1 hour 12 minute documentary that will debut at midnight tonight, California time, when it becomes available to stream on February 11th.
Other than a release date, Netflix has revealed practically nothing about the documentary, nor has it done any promotion for the film.
Judging by the short official description Netflix provides, it seems like it might simply be a long sit-down interview with its Oscar winning director Alfonso Cuarón.
Director Alfonso Cuarón reflects on the childhood memories, period details and creative choices that shaped his Academy Award-winning film “ROMA.”
Netflix has also tagged the film as being “Cerebral” and “Inspiring”.
It’s completely possible that Road to Roma could include scenes from Roma itself, as well as other footage, but we’re not expecting anything too grandiose. Given how much Netflix has said about it, it’s anyone’s guess.
If you’re a huge fan of Roma, you’ll just have to find out for yourself.
